Best Benefit Ever: Restaurateurs Served Fresh Delivery Discounts

A partnership between the New York State Restaurant Association and Delivery.com gives members discounted delivery service.

What’s the benefit? The New York State Restaurant Association (NYSRA) has partnered with Delivery.com to offer members exclusive benefits and lower transaction fees through the online ordering and local delivery service. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the New York State Restaurants Association,” Mike Davis, vice president of sales and business development at Delivery.com, said in a statement. “The work they do is so important for local business communities, and we’re happy to help by providing [NYSRA] members with a superior online ordering platform for their customers.”

Why it works for members: Delivery service can be a huge boon to restaurateurs seeking to increase their customer base, but two of the largest delivery services often take more than a 10 percent cut, on average, of restaurant orders. By teaming up with Delivery.com, NYSRA is hoping to lessen some of the costs tied to delivery services. The partnership could prompt some hesitant restaurateurs to explore new digital options.

Other benefits: NYSRA will soon have an entirely new suite of benefits in addition to the Delivery.com partnership. The association has announced it will reveal nine more benefits, and members already receive payroll processing and disability insurance. “All of the member benefits we are starting to roll out will directly affect the restaurants’ bottom line to help them succeed,” Chris Hickey, New York City regional director, said in a statement.
