A roundup of new hires and other personnel moves in the association industry.

The Snow­Sports Industries America board of directors announced that David Ingemie, SIA’s president for the past 34 years, will step down at the conclusion of the 2016 SIA Snow Show.

The National Parking Association has promoted ­Christina Garneski to vice president of marketing, communications, and events.

The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association has hired Steve Neidlinger, CAE, as membership engagement specialist. He previously served as membership and outreach coordinator for the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association.

Steven J. Carasso was recently named director of marketing and communications for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

Kevin Fitzpatrick has been named executive vice president and chief innovation officer for the American College of Cardiology.

The Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America recently announced several promotions: Bob Wiggans to senior director of membership, Ali Prolago to manager of government affairs, Elizabeth­ ­Armstrong to manager of technology and support, and ­Katherine Brown to manager of finance and administration.

Association Management Center has hired Sally Weir, CAE, to serve as executive director of its client the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Weir previously was executive director at the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board.

Kathy Kreiter­ has been named executive director of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She previously was CEO and executive director of the International Association for the Study of Pain.

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired Tim Haggerty to serve as vice president of sales and Walden Agustin Sr. as senior national accounts director. Haggerty most recently was director of sales and marketing at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Agustin previously managed accounts at the San Francisco Travel Association.

Scott Snipes has been named general manager of the Grand Hyatt Atlanta. Snipes previously was general manager of Hyatt Regency Savannah.

Conference­Direct has hired Virna Navia as director of global accounts. Navia most recently served as senior national sales manager for MGM Resorts, International at Mandalay Bay.

MetroConnections, Inc., has announced ­Kimberly ­Walters as its new marketing and public relations manager.

Shepard Exposition Services has appointed Ricardo Ortiz vice president of sales for its western region.
