The Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau named Dave Beachnau senior vice president of sales, marketing, and sports.

Visit Salt Lake announced Karen Staples is its new Northeast director of convention sales.

David Clark is the new president and CEO of Visit Mobile (Alabama).

Greg Voss joined the American Lung Association in Minnesota as the new executive director.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons selected Thomas E. Arend, Jr., CAE, as its new CEO. Previously, he was executive vice president, COO, and general counsel at the American College of Cardiology.

The American Dental Association hired Christopher M. Tampio as director of congressional affairs and Chad Olson as director of state government affairs.

Dan Liutikas is the new CEO of the International Legal Technology Association. He was previously the chief legal officer at CompTIA.

John McMahon became the new executive director of the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado. Previously, he served as executive director of the National Ski Patrol.
