Ghost Club
Founded in 1862, the Ghost Club says it’s the oldest organization in the world dedicated to “psychical research,” and it touts many famous Brits, including author Charles Dickens, as past members. The Ghost Club debates, explores, and investigates unexplained phenomena and records the results.
Ghost Research Society
Those who wish to sit on the sidelines should not apply. The Ghost Research Society wants members who are game to investigate paranormal activity. New members are vetted before joining, and, once they’re in, they spend time analyzing photographs, video, and audiotapes of alleged hauntings.
Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena
This group is dedicated to researching strange happenings, including reported ghost sightings. Founded in 1981, the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena explores everything from ghosts to UFOs. The association prides itself on its extensive collection of research and paranormal photos.
