How I Got Here: Kristin Witters
The manager of member services at the National Association of College and University Business Officers in Washington, DC takes a trip down memory lane.
Kristin Witters’ career began almost 18 years ago when she worked as a hostess at a 1950s-themed diner. As the current manager of member services for the National Association of College and University Business Officers, she says every job—even one that required her to wear a poodle skirt—has left her with at least one takeaway.
Two that have stayed with her: “Preschoolers can teach you a lot about patience and the impact you have on a daily basis” and “A great supervisor can have almost the same impact on you as a great teacher.”
