Tiffany McGee, CAE, has been promoted to CEO of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Previously, McGee served as senior director of membership and fund development for TTLA.

The Global Fund has hired Angela Atherton as COO and CFO. Atherton previously was head of risk management at the Calvert Social Investment Foundation.

DeLaine Bender, CAE, has been named executive director of the National Association of State Procurement Officials.

Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America has hired Rebecca Noel as digital media and communications manager. Noel joins WSWA from the global public relations firm Porter Novelli.

Bailey Wood has been named vice president, communications, for the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association. He recently served as senior director, legislative affairs and communications, for the National Automobile Dealers Association.

The Massachusetts Society of CPAs has hired Julie Deschenes as vice president of MSCPA’s Educational Foundation. Deschenes joins MSCPA from the MassBio Educational Foundation.

The Student Conservation Association announced the appointment of Jaime Berman­ Matyas as its new president and CEO. Matyas most recently served as the executive vice president and COO of the National Wildlife Federation.

John Haudenshield has been hired as director of safety for the National Waste & Recycling Association.

The National Association of Federal Credit Unions announced two promotions. Curt Long, previously senior economist, is now chief economist and director of research. Doug Christmas, formerly a research assistant, is now staff economist.

Nanette Traetow has been appointed director of marketing and operations for the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Visit Baltimore recently hired Sally Sutera as the regional director of sales for the Northeast region. Sutera previously served as the regional director of sales and services at OnPeak.

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired Tracey Megee as its national accounts manager. Megee joins the PHLCVB after spending almost 30 years with Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown.

Grand Hyatt Washington has named Steven J. Smith general manager. He previously was general manager at the Hyatt Regency Washington.

Tom Mullen has been named chief administrative officer of the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board.

Brittany Bayliss has been appointed director of Vetted Solutions. Most recently, Bayliss served as project director of Association Strategies, Inc.
