What’s the benefit? The American Numismatic Association is aiming to expand its network of currency connoisseurs by partnering with rare coin and currency news outlet CoinWeek. At the Florida United Numismatists Orlando Convention, ANA Executive Director Kim Kiick and CoinWeek editor Charles Morgan announced that they will be promoting the giveaway of 500 digital ANA memberships. “CoinWeek is the leader in digitization of numismatic events throughout the country, and they’ve always been one of the strongest supporters of the ANA,” Kiick said in a video announcing the partnership. “We’re really looking forward to this arrangement.” The free memberships provide the full range of ANA benefits, including 12 online issues of The Numismatist.

Why it works for members: By bringing new digital members into the organization, ANA adds new voices and perspectives to its community. “The ANA is one of the most historic and important organizations in the hobby. For many years it was the watchdog for everything in the industry,” Morgan said in the video announcement. “The ANA is resurgent now, and we hope to help bring more collectors into the ANA. And through this promotion I think we’ll do just that.”

Other benefits: Among many other benefits, members get free access to the National Money Show, the World’s Fair of Money, and the Edward C. Rochette Money Museum. They can also take advantage of discounts on numismatic products and services.
