The 2015 Joint Annual Conference starts on Friday with DeDe Murcer Moffett speaking at the meeting’s opening general session that afternoon. She’ll discuss how people are most successful when they live life with passion, knowing what they were born to do and then doing it full out. Also worth noting:
Panels galore. Attendees can choose from an assortment of panels at the 2015 Carousel of Panels. In one large room, 32 different presentations will be offered during a one-hour-and-45-minute time block. Visitors can pick and choose to participate in three different panels of 30 minutes each. Topics include bullying prevention and curriculum development.
#QuadGoals. Attendees thinking of building or remodeling their facilities or dreaming about what they can be can visit the 2015 Educational Environments Exhibit. Business firms engaged in any aspect of designing, constructing, or equipping public school facilities were invited to show off their best work. Winning entries will be chosen in various categories.
Success stories. You often get the best ideas from stealing others’, which is why 30 panel sessions were chosen from 75 proposals submitted by school districts for 90-minute “Share the Success” presentations. These sessions—evaluated and selected by a member committee—will hit on newsy and timely topics like emergency response and recovery after a tornado and Twitter skills for school leaders.
