Wednesday Buzz: Discovering the Best Digital Marketing Hubs
A new study breaks down what an ideal marketing hub should include and which companies meet those standards. Plus: How Facebook beat Twitter.
Earlier this month, Gartner published an extensive report on digital marketing technology stacks, titled “Magic Quadrant for Digital Marketing Hubs.” While the full report is placed behind a pay wall, CMSWire reporter Dom Nicastro reached out to several of the companies described as “visionaries” by Gartner’s report to get a closer look at what makes each of the companies tick.
In total, four leaders offered their pitch as to why their companies’ offerings stand out from the crowd, providing some food for thought for any organization looking for a new marketing solution along with some insight into the state of the digital marketing industry.
“The reality of current marketing technology stacks offered by major players such as IBM, Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle, to name a few, is that they’re groups of disparate offerings, acquired through acquisition,” Kitewheel president Mark Smith said, positioning his company’s solutions as central to any integration effort.
“The 1:1 communication between brands, their agencies and the consumers they serve is stretching from paid media to owned and earned — truly programmatic marketing,” MediaMath CMO Joanna O’Connell said, emphasizing that the firm places a priority on audiences and programmatic ads.
