Conference Circuit: Parking Spot

The 2018 National Parking Association Convention & Expo begins next week in Las Vegas. Attendance is expected to top 1,500.

More than 1,500 parking industry professionals and experts are headed to Vegas in the upcoming days to discuss current trends and best practices and learn firsthand what their colleagues are doing to stay ahead.

Organization: National Parking Association

Conference: 2018 NPA Convention & Expo

Venue: Caesars Palace

City: Las Vegas

Following an opening reception on Monday evening, NPA 2018 kicks off  Tuesday morning with a keynote by Dr. Kevin Freiberg, an author, entrepreneur, and leadership coach. He’ll discuss how innovating a process like parking can help attendees maintain price, gain customers, and grow their business even in a climate of intense competition. Also on the agenda:

Get a seat at the table. Tuesday evening’s five dine-around options give attendees the chance to meet new colleagues and industry leaders. Each of the dinner groups, which are limited to 12 people, is hosted by an NPA board member, who will help guide the conversation and discussion.

Get smart. New this year is the NPA Smart Cities Solutions Forum, which will explore the future of smart cities, shared mobility, and parking in the urban landscape. Thought leaders, representing both the municipal perspective and the parking operator’s points of view, will also engage in a debate around its impact on parking operations.

Get an up-close look. The meeting includes complimentary tours where attendees will get a chance to see Las Vegas parking facilities in action. At MGM Resorts, attendees will get a unique front- and back-of-house tour of its massive operation, which includes a sophisticated valet operation and state-of-the-art payment and validation systems.
