Meetings

Destination: Charlotte

Plan an unforgettable meeting in North Carolina’s Queen City.

Charlotte is sure to please with a convention center that’s steps away from everything the city has to offer.

Walkable convention district. The 550,000-square-foot Charlotte Convention Center is connected to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and across the street from the 700-room Westin Hotel. It features 280,000 square feet of exhibit hall space and 126,500 square feet of breakout space, including 37 meeting rooms and two ballrooms. And attendees can walk everywhere: The center is steps from Uptown’s arts and culture attractions, sports venues, nightlife hubs, and more than 200 restaurants.

Venues for all tastes. From modern museums to historic plantations, unique event venues flourish in the Queen City. There’s the U.S. National Whitewater Center, which offers indoor and outdoor meeting space and plenty of team-building opportunities. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s lush scenery is perfect for a meeting, event, or reception set in an outdoor oasis. And historic homes like the VanLandingham Estate, Morehead Inn, and the Duke Mansion serve up Southern charm.

Accessible hub. Charlotte Douglas International Airport, one of the nation’s 10 busiest airports, welcomes thousands of convention and meeting attendees each year and is just 7 miles from the convention center. More than 60 percent of the nation’s population lives within a two-hour flight, and most destinations on the East Coast are within a day’s drive or ride on Amtrak.
