Data Point: Recruitment Goes Digital

Associations are testing the waters of digital membership recruitment using social media channels, online advertising, and ad retargeting campaigns.

According to Marketing General Incorporated, 15 percent of associations now say digital recruitment is their preferred way to reach prospects, compared to 12 percent last year.

68 percent Facebook paid advertising

51 percent Search-engine optimization (SEO)

46 percent Remarketing (Facebook, AdRoll, or Google)

45 percent Search-engine ads (pay-per-click)

32 percent Paid banner ads on other websites
