Brought to You by… Snow

In sometimes surprising ways, associations play direct and indirect roles in bringing the products, services, and activities of daily life to people around the world. Including snow.

American Council of Snowmobile Associations. The folks at the American Council of Snowmobile Associations love snow-covered open spaces. ACSA began with the goal of helping preserve long-term use of public and private lands open to snowmobiles. The organization promotes communication between consumers and snowmobile manufacturers, encourages funding of snowmobile trails, and provides educational materials on safe and responsible snowmobiling.

Snowsports Industries America. Winter brings a slew of outdoor activities, and members of Snowsports Industries America want you to enjoy every sport the season has to offer. SIA represents snow sports suppliers, retailers, sales reps, and resorts. Winter is their passion, and while they encourage the nation’s love of winter sports, they also fight climate change and deliver knowledge and tools to help members grow their businesses.

Snow and Ice Management Association. If you live in an area where the white stuff has been falling this winter, you’re happy when members of the Snow and Ice Management Association show up. SIMA is the American trade association for professionals in the snow and ice industry, which includes snow plowing and both commercial and residential snow removal. The organization provides members with information on injury prevention, disaster response, salt purchasing, inventory management, and more.
