The Roller Skating Association International kicks off its 78th Annual Convention and Trade Show this weekend.

The Roller Skating Association International wheels into Vegas this weekend for its 78th Annual Convention and Trade Show.

“Sin City” may have to be renamed “Skate City” when attendees arrive for the 78th Annual Roller Skating Association International Convention and Trade Show this weekend. Roller skating rink owners, coaches, and judges will learn how to improve their business and reach new customers, as well as discover the latest innovative products and services.

Association: Roller Skating Association International

Conference: 2015 RSA Convention and Trade Show

Venue: South Point Casino, Hotel, and Spa

City: Las Vegas

Norm Bossio will begin the meeting with his keynote, “How to Keep Everyone Skating Together in the Right Direction.” He’ll share strategies for managing teams to be as productive and effective as possible. Here are three other things that attendees will be lacing up their skates for:

Back to school. Roller Skating University is a full-day program dedicated to helping rink owners increase their profits. Sessions include how to make money by running a summer camp program, using smart marketing techniques, and entering the world of “rollertainment.”

Food matters. Besides admission fees and skate rentals, rinks make a lot of money from the food and beverages they sell. Several sessions will cover this area, from how to comply with new FDA guidelines on nutrition labeling to how to navigate marketplace trends.

Feedback forum. The last day of the conference has time set aside for first-time attendees and new members to meet with RSA staff to discuss and reflect on this convention and provide suggestions for future events. RSA staff will also hold an open mic forum where they’ll discuss what the organization has planned for the next year and respond to comments.

Roll over to Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to keep up with RSA’s latest happenings.
