Best Benefit Ever: A New Suite of Medical Services for Grandparents

The American Grandparents Association's latest partnership will provide a new healthcare service to AGA members.

What’s the benefit? The American Grandparents Association has announced a partnership with Wellspring Benefits Group to address the needs of members managing multiple medications or combating a chronic illness. Through this service, AGA hopes to reduce members’ doctor visits and the complexity of their day-to-day medical care. “The impact of this service will help seniors stay more independent and caregivers more confident in providing care,” AGA CEO Steve Leber said in a statement. The medication management program offers (among other things) a team of personal assistants who help ensure compliance, disease education, financial aid for medications, and pre-packaging of medications.

Why it works for members: The new service is is built with the many complicated medical concerns of AGA members in mind. “Wellspring’s benefit package is customized for seniors and caregivers. We bridge a significant gap between doctors and their patients who take multiple medications or are suffering from chronic illness to help them get better, feel better, stay better, and improve life,” Wellspring President Jim Jones said in a statement.

Other perks: In addition to addressing medical needs, AGA’s suite of benefits includes free credit reports and discounts on travel packages and genealogy services, among plenty of other benefits.
