Best Benefit Ever: Event Organizers Extend Their Reach to Malaysia
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events partners with a Malaysian organization to give members access to resources on a global scale.
What’s the benefit? In order to advance its mission within exhibition and events industry, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has announced a new partnership with the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS). Members of both organizations will be able to access each group’s research data and will be able to purchase products and services at a discounted rate. As MACEOS Chief Executive Amos Wong said in a statement, members “can benefit in their upskilling process for the coming years.” They will also be invited to attend major events organized by the two groups.
Why it works for members: Having access to data is always useful, especially when it helps members understand and build upon existing best practices in exhibition and event planning. And in an industry where networking is key, the strengthened ties between MACEOS and IAEE can help open the Malaysian events market to the world and provide event planners with brand new venues and inspiration.
Other Perks: Both organizations also have useful training programs for members. IAEE’s CEM Learning Program and MACEOS’ GST Planning Workshop give members the opportunity to learn best practices from veterans in the industry and get a leg up on the competition.
