What’s the benefit: The Boat Owners Association of the United States (BoatUS) has announced a new partnership with booking platform Dockwa. The new agreement will let members save on booking fees, as well as transient slip discounts that are added on top of members’ preexisting slip benefits, regardless of whether members’ purchases are made via Dockwa’s app or website.

Why it works: Members will enjoy the list of savings resulting from the partnership, including waived booking fees for dock space at selected marinas. Beyond the discounts, ease of use will benefit members, as they can now enjoy fast, easy service from the app. “This is the most convenient way for our members to book their transient reservations for docks and moorings,” BoatUS Vice President of Membership Heather Lougheed said in a statement. “No waiting for a call back, no voicemail or web forms to fill out. Just tap the Dockwa app, book and dock.”

Other benefits: BoatUS members will have access to docks at Dockwa’s network of 175 marinas along the East Coast. In addition to docking assistance, BoatUS members receive discounts on fuel, repair costs, travel, and numerous towing services.
