Brought to You By… Kettlebell

In sometimes surprising ways, associations play direct and indirect roles in bringing the products, services, and activities of daily life to people around the world. Including kettlebell.

American Kettlebell Alliance: Founded in January 2012, the American Kettlebell Alliance promotes the growth of kettlebell lifting in the country. Top AKA lifters also qualify to become members of Team USA. Since first competing in the world championships in 2013, Team USA has become the fifth-ranked kettlebell sport team in the world.

International Sport and Fitness Trainers Association: With kettlebells becoming a popular exercise tool, the International Sport and Fitness Trainers Association recognized the need for highly skilled kettlebell instructors. That’s why it rolled out the ISFTA Kettlebell Training Certification, which combines lectures with practical application, demonstration, and hands-on participation.

American Council on Exercise: Looking to up your fitness game or learn proper technique? Head to the American Council on Exercise’s Find a Pro database, which allows you to type in your ZIP code and find personal trainer, group fitness instructor, health coach, or medical exercise specialist nearby.
