Membership Hack: March Madness Membership Drive

This time of year, everyone seems to have March Madness on the mind, including an association that’s using this month to recruit new members.

How to hack it? Your bracket may be busted, but there’s at least one way for association leaders to win big during March Madness: Host a March Madness-themed membership drive to recruit new members. That’s what the Transportation Marketing and Sales Association is doing this month.

New members who join in March, in any membership category, receive a promotional code to save on a future TMSA purchase. Meanwhile, current members who recruit prospects can take advantage of programming discounts as well.

Why does it work? The month-long membership drive incentivizes new members to act and gets current members involved in recruitment. TMSA provides its members with email templates, social media cards, and membership brochures that aid in the recruitment process.

What’s the bonus? Already, TSMA has seen solid membership growth this year. In January and February, 13 new member companies joined, and the association is hoping to continue that trend through the spring.
