Destination: Burlington, Vermont

Unique venues and a convenient location make Burlington, Vermont a smart choice for a New England meeting.

Vermont’s largest city proves that it has more to offer than winter sports and fall foliage. More details below:

Location, location, location. Burlington is located only 220 miles northwest of Boston, 285 miles north of New York City, and 90 miles southeast of Montreal. In addition, Burlington International Airport, located only four miles from downtown, has a recently completed $15 million renovation and offers nonstop service to several airport hubs, including Atlanta, Chicago, and Washington, DC.

Interesting venues. The ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center offers three exhibit-filled floors, as well as indoor and open-air spaces for ceremonies, dining, and dancing for groups up to 750. Offering everything from intimate art galleries to a 1,453-seat theater, the Art Deco-style Flynn Center for Performing Arts is a perfect backdrop for seminars and receptions.

Walk it. Located only a short walk from several downtown hotels, Church Street Marketplace is a lively pedestrian zone lined with shops, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and coffeehouses. A 6.5-mile paved bicycle/walking path, which runs along the Lake Champlain shoreline from one end of the city to the other, passes parks, beaches, and the revitalized downtown waterfront.
