Best Benefit Ever: Lawyers Take to the Cloud
The Washington State Bar Association joins with several other bar associations to help members adopt cloud-based practice management.
What’s the benefit? To make members’ lives a little bit easier, the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) has partnered with cloud-solution-provider Clio to give members a 10 percent discount on Clio’s marquee practice management software platform. As Charity Anastasio, WSBA’s practice management advisor, explained in a statement: “Technology often helps lawyers meet the growing demands of their practice. Clio, a cloud-based practice management solution, is intended to help lawyers to maximize their efficiency and improve their workflow while also offering mobility to their practice.”
Why it works for members: Clio’s practice management software has won accolades largely because it was built with the advice of legal experts from across the country in mind, and it addresses frequent concerns with timekeeping, billing, retainer management, and more. Plus, it’s not like the WSBA is the first bar association to adopt Clio: In fact, it joins 35 other states that participate in Clio’s Bar Association Affinity Program.
Other perks: WSBA offers an entire suite of additional software and platform discounts to members, including editing software from WordRake, file synchronization from Citrix, and virtual receptionist service from Ruby Receptionists, along with more traditional benefits, such as legal research from Casemaker.
