The National Association of Credit Management opens its 2015 Credit Conference & Expo this weekend.

Business credit professionals are headed to St. Louis for the National Association of Credit Management’s 119th Credit Congress & Expo to learn about the newest trends in the field, as well as cutting-edge products and services to help them do their jobs better.

Association: National Association of Credit Management

Conference: Credit Conference & Expo

Venue: America’s Center

City: St. Louis

Jim Knight will deliver this year’s keynote. Knight, who won awards for his previous role as senior director of training and development at Hard Rock International, will explore how to foster a strong employee culture to achieve “rock star status.” Here are three other things guaranteed to charge up the meeting:

Shield of armor. Recent data breaches at large retailers like Target and Home Depot have highlighted the need for better credit card and database security. A few education sessions will tackle this topic, including “Electronic Data: Protecting Information in the NSA Era” and “Stop Today’s Hackers: Empowering Executives to Be IT Security Savvy.”

New, now, next. NACM is introducing a “Spotlight on Innovation” at this year’s conference. The showcase will include exhibitor products, services, processes, and resources that will help credit and finance professionals improve the quality, integrity, and efficiency of their work.

Game time. Attendees looking to take part in some healthy competition onsite can download the meeting’s app game, Congress Quest. Participants earn points by scanning QR codes after chatting with NACM board members and meeting exhibitors and sponsors or by purchasing items in the silent auction or bookstore.  A leaderboard will display the standings in real time, and the five highest scorers will win prizes at the closing party.

Keep an eye on Twitter (#NACMCreditCongress) and Facebook for all of the meeting’s most-up-to-date happenings.
