The IAAO Conference will get underway on Sunday with an opening reception. Also worth noting:
In the round. IAAO will be offering one-hour roundtable discussions in the exhibit hall to give attendees the opportunity to discuss current topics and meet others with similar interests and issues. Topics on the agenda include how to talk to your boss and improving and maintaining workplace morale.
Gone fishing. The 2016 IAAO Fishing Tournament will take place at Tampa’s Hula Bay Club. Individuals or teams of three can register to compete. Following the weigh-in ceremony, awards will be given to those who had the largest catch. In addition, excess proceeds from the tournament will go to the conference charity—Southeastern Guide Dogs Paws for Patriots.
Speaker prep. To ensure conference presenters are ready to go, IAAO has put together a number of helpful resources for them. One has a list of important dates and deadlines, as well as some tips on what to bring with them to the conference. Another has presenter guidelines and slide templates that include advice for creating an effective presentation.
